FAQ

The ranking uses its own points system for veterans.

➖ Participation without placing
Place	World Masters + World Championships × 1.5	Continental championships × 1	European Cups × 0.5
🥇	420	280	140
🥈	252	168	84
🥉	168	112	56
4.	84	56	28
5.	84	56	28
7.	48	32	16
➖	12	8	4

Points apply regardless of age and weight category.
Each yearly ranking starts on 1 January. Points count as follows:
- Current year: 100 %
- Previous year: 50 %
- Year before that: 25 %
On equal points, the following decide in order:
- Points of the current period
- Number of gold, silver and bronze medals in the current period
- Best individual results in the current period
- Points from World Championships, continental championships and European Cups
On a complete tie, athletes share the rank.
For simplicity, the points system was applied retroactively to all events since 1999.
